One of the biggest challenges most Sidebizpreneurs face is consistently creating content. For many, creating effective content is no easy feat; however, the benefits are a real game-changer.  
I know you've probably heard the word content and the phrase content marketing many times throughout your entrepreneurial journey. You might even cringe at the thought of creating content; however, I promise you, it's not that bad...and once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun. 
So, what is content?  Fundamentally, content is information.
So, what's content marketing? Content Marketing is creating and consistently distributing relevant information to attract, convert, and retain a targeted audience.

Here are 5 Hacks To Create Craveable Content with Ease:
  1. Braindump: Nothing gets your creative juices flowing more than a blank sheet of paper and a pen! Every week, have a good brain dump. Grab a sheet of paper and a pen and just start writing. Write down topics and ideas that you desire to share with your audience. 
  2. Ask Questions: It's funny that we stress over content...because, guess what? If you ask your audience they will gladly tell you what content they desire. Email your list, post surveys, post "this or that" questions, ask them in your joining questions for your Facebook group, write down the questions they ask you in the comments/via DM...and utilize these questions to formulate highly engaging content.
  3. Repurpose: There is no need to create new content every single time you show up; however, a major key to never running out of content is to repurpose what worked for you in the past. Turn those blogs into social media posts, infographics, videos, live streams, reels, stories, emails and so much more. 
  4. No Perfection Zone: You might have an idea of what perfect content is; however, I can guarantee you that there is no such thing. Don't allow yourself to fall into the infamous "it's not perfect trap" know, where you write and re-write your content over and again, and most often than not, you never release/publish it. 
  5. Keep it simple: Write conversational content that is easy to understand and digest. People love simple; and let's face it, our attention spans are growing shorter and shorter by the day.

Luckily, being famous on a small scale is easier than you think! 
Follow these tips to ensure the right people know who you are:
  1. Specialize. It’s easier to become well-known if you’re extremely good at one thing or one area. Okay, let's keep this real estate thing going...You don’t just want to be a general realtor in Miami. Instead, you want to be the realtor that specializes in high-end Miami beach properties.
  2. Identify your target audience. Who are you trying to serve? What does your ideal customer look like? Develop a composite of the people that you want to know you. Are they a certain age? Male, female, or both? What income level do they have? What profession are they in? What hobbies do they have? 
  3. Rise above the noise and be valuable. What does your audience want? What is the common problem they all have? Center your message around this desire and your ability to solve it. Noise is simply non-meaningful messaging. Be meaningful to your audience.
  4. Become an authority. When people want to solve a problem, they want an expert. But how does the average person spot an expert? They aren’t experts themselves, or they wouldn’t need you. A few methods to stand out as an expert to your ideal audience is to solve their problems by: writing a guest post for a blog, being a guest on a podcast, teaching an online class, releasing high-value content via your social media sites and website, writing articles and newsletters, and publishing books/eBooks.
  5. Be consistent. Brands are built through consistency. You must be consistent with your posting schedule; your tone, aesthetics, and overall messaging. Consistency builds the know, like, and trust factor and helps you to grow your audience engagement and reach.

Advertising online may be a better option. You can track the effectiveness of each advertisement. Then, you can focus your marketing strategies on the techniques that are the most profitable. Plus, there are options for online advertising that don’t cost you any money at all!
Here are some free online marketing methods that you may want to consider for your business: 
  • Partner up with another expert in your field. Consider joining forces with another brand. You can then offer a more substantial product together than either one of you could offer alone. In addition, you’ll automatically get the attention of both audiences, resulting in more sales and adding more leads to your email list. Partnering on even one marketing campaign can bring long-term benefits to both of you.
  • Encourage user-generated content. If you can acquire user-generated content, your website will grow without you having to create your own content. This type of content also increases your website visitors. Enable comments on your website and contribute to the discussions. Allow visitors to submit their own articles and encourage guest posts from other experts.
  • Affiliate marketing. When you create an affiliate program for your business, you will be getting other experts in your field and the public to send business your way. This can be mutually beneficial, and you will only be paying commissions (after the sale) if the affiliate makes a sale. As with the partnering technique, many of these new visitors will sign up for your email list, even if they don’t buy something right away, bringing you long-term benefits and sales.
  • Be active on social media. There are millions of users visiting the various social media platforms daily, so it makes sense for your business to have a presence there. This will save you time and expense. Plus, keeping consistent brand imagery through every ad will help with brand recognition too.
  • Build an email list. If people are visiting your website, chances are good that they are interested in what you have to offer. Make a form available for them to join your email list and be kept in the loop about future product releases or special offers. Once they’ve signed up to this email list, you can send emails to these prospects with news and further information about your products. Let them know whenever something goes on sale. Email marketing is one of the best ways to drive sales. Treat your list members like gold, because that’s what they are to you and your business.
  • Create some video content. Video content is incredibly important nowadays as the younger generation would rather watch a video than read a blog post. If you can create interesting videos, you’ll create interest in your brand. It’s certainly possible to do online marketing without spending money. Some of these methods might take some time and effort to implement, though, before you see profits. For example, it can take a while to build an email list. However, once you have a list, making sales can be as easy as sending out an email to your list. Once you’ve built a social media following, making sales can be as easy as making a post on your social media accounts.
If you want to see an immediate ROI, like for a special promotion, you may want to consider paying for ads online. But if funds are tight, be patient as you put these free strategies into place, and soon you’ll have plenty of ways to make immediate sales for free.
